When JPG is the practical choice
JPG is accepted by nearly every form, editor, email client and content system. Its lossy encoding is especially efficient for photographs, gradients and natural scenes. Converting to JPG can solve compatibility problems when a portal does not understand HEIC or WebP.
How to convert to JPG
- Add one or more source images.
- Select Convert to JPG and wait for local processing.
- Download each result and check it before replacing any source file.
What happens to transparency?
JPG does not support transparent pixels. Transparent regions are flattened during conversion, so use PNG or WebP when transparency must remain.
